Medspire is an independent medical website that publishes articles in both Kurdish and English. In an era where the Kurdish media has become a source of spreading misinformation and unscientific medical information, we aim to establish a platform that acts as a source for accurate and updated scientific medical knowledge and provides coverage of local medical news and events.
The Story...
The story behind the name Medspire comes from a small newspaper that was run by a couple of medical students from the University of Sulaymaniyah- College of Medicine since 2016 in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The newspaper was the first of its kind on campus to provide a perspective on local medical news from a group of young bright-minded students. Medspire now aims to expand its platform as a scientific medical website in Southern Kurdistan. We hope this medium inspires bright young people in not just the medical Kurdish community but every scientific field.
